Favorite Summer 2011 Moments

Just like that summer is passing us up.  Been fast paced in the world of music and life overall.  Summer for me started with a bang with the release of “Sweetheart” on my birthday :)  It was my first solo video so I was very proud of it and my crew that helped me put it together.  Next, an unforgettable vacation out in Hawaii, my favorite place in the world (at the moment).  Spent 10 days there with the family.  Started in Honolulu and ended in Maui.  Love it.  Miss it.  Can’t wait to be back someday.

When we got back home, the beaches just weren’t the same.  Spent lot of time out in Lake Geneva, WI and Crystal Lake, IL.  Other summer activities include a little bit of golfing, riding the bike (motorcycle), and shows out in Sacramento, San Francisco, Toronto, and Minnesota.  Sang at the Sox game too this year.  That’s always fun.  Of course another proud moment personally for me was becoming a godfather to my first god son.

Something I’ll never forget was the 3 days without electricity caused by a severe thunderstorm that hit the Chicagoland this summer.  Definitely a humbling experience.  The world stood still at least at home.  It was surreal because I was still connected to the rest of the world through Twitter, watching everyone else carry-on with their lives.

Now that summer is winding down, I’m thinking about what’s to come this fall and winter.  I’ll keep all of that for my next blog post in the “random” section.  Life goes on.  Life is short.  Appreciate every moment of it.  So long for now!
